On Dec. 5 at House of Hong, Northwest Asian Weekly Foundation held their annual Top Contributors to the Asian Community Awards dinner.
Among the honorees were Senator Elect Pramila Jayapal (Seattle #37 District), National Association of Asian American Professionals, and Dr. Phuc Dat Giap, the incumbent president of the Vietnamese SeaFair Torch light Parade. The award was introduced by Trong Pham, the president of the Washington Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and presented by Dr Julie Pham.
Speaking about the role of collaborative working in the Vietnamese community, Dr. Dat said : “To be able to work together for the advancement of the community, we need dedication, sincerity, spiritual harmony, and a common ideal.”
